In recent years, national and regional attention has been given to the negative impacts of transportation policies and freeway expansions from the 1960’s. Minnesota – and the Rondo community is quickly gaining international and national attention, because of the herculean efforts of the long-time resident and advocate, Marvin Roger Anderson, and the RCR Team. As the Founder and Board Chair of ReConnectRondo Mr. Anderson’s drive to leverage the “land bridge” as a source of restoration for “new” hope, imagination, and economic opportunity has led to miraculous growth and support. This includes a list of activities and accomplishments that demonstrate that “it’s more than a bridge” for the Rondo community – and the former loss of more than 600 homes and 300 businesses, will be restored.
Community investment is our highest priority. Everything we do must be of service to the community. Each funder, donor, and sponsor plays a critical role in our development as an organization as well as our ability to serve our community. $470,000 was invested into the Rondo community in 2017.
