ReConnect Rondo is excited to announce a dynamic new collaboration with historian, futurist, and globally recognized researcher Professor Dr. Walter D. Greason, who will officially join the organization as Senior Research Consultant beginning June 1, 2026, for a three-year engagement.

Now, he’s bringing that vision and research power to Rondo.

Over the next three years, Dr. Greason will support ReConnect Rondo through quantitative and qualitative research designed to help expand the organization’s impact across the Twin Cities, Minnesota, the Upper Midwest, and beyond. Together, the goal is bold: helping position ReConnect Rondo as a national model for restorative development, cultural preservation, and community restoration work.

This collaboration represents more than research alone. It is the intentional alignment of academia, community engagement, storytelling, and restorative development strategy. A key focus of the partnership is bringing academic power and international research credibility behind ReConnect Rondo’s mission while strengthening alliances, coordinating efforts across sectors, and deepening authentic community engagement.

What makes this collaboration especially meaningful is that it began long before an official title. Dr. Greason has been a longtime supporter of ReConnect Rondo’s work, engaging with the organization for years before formally connecting with the team. After first reaching out in 2022, the relationship steadily grew through conversations, campus connections, community visits, and a shared belief that the story of Rondo deserves both preservation and expansion.
